But Gaspésie, located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. sea 40 "Gespeg" means "end of the world" by intrigue language or Amerindian. Here's a little plan for you to travel with us.
We leave Quebec along the said South Shore of the St. Lawrence sea 40 or the east side actually. sea 40 Lovely road with trees to lose sight, lakes, small charming villages, crossing the New Brunswick-a Canadian province in which changes time zones (very funny for kids) - the American border -de the other side of a river-, names of cities and funny then finally, after 8 hours away, the sea!
We land in the Gaspé the south coast. This is a trick of our friends Alice and Arnaud in Gaspésie, one road, Highway 132 It goes around. To be on the safe side of the road or the sea side, we drive south to the north. First stop but not least, we spend a night in a yurt floating in Carleton-sur-Mer, in the so-called "hot" bay.
A little crazy but super gay. This is camping on the water. Observation of small fish and herons, boat rides on the lagoon, small dinner sea 40 on the terrace, sun sunset super nice.
We continue the road to Douglastown, a tiny village a few miles south of Gaspe, the town in the extreme eastern Gaspé. This is where we make our neighborhoods for a week in a small green house very charming.
The trampoline in the garden is emulated! Children discover happiness with Simon, the owner of the house, raising rabbits sea 40 and ... rabbits. It offers us the opportunity to care during our week at home. Oh joy!
Excursion to the rock drilled (rock curiously hole in the center) ... of Percé and the neighboring island, Bonaventure, which has a very large colony of gannets island. Boat trips around the rock. Rosalie is chosen by the guide to show images of marine animals. Proud! We see seals, penguins and several gannets.
We land on the island for a long walk in the woods. At the other end of Bonaventure Island, we discover the amazing colony of thousands of crazy nesting on the plains and the cliffs. The sound of all these birds is amazing!
On our return to port, two clowns welcome sea 40 children under the patronage of laughter, the mascot of gannets. We also baladons in a small part of the Park Forillon National Park located just across the Bay of Gaspé, near our house. This is actually the peninsula that plunges into the sea. We choose to do the walk brings us to Cap Gaspé or the "end of the end of the world."
9 km not easy on well well hilly paths. Upon leaving the forest, we feel a tiny bit of land out of the sea, flanked by a lighthouse. It really is the end of the world.
We see a porcupine famous and guillemots (black bird with a very white spot on each wing - these spots reflect virtually sea 40 the sun like a mirror). On the way back, we are very fortunate to be surprised by several breaths of sea springing V!
We also visit the lighthouse at Cap de Rosiers, the tallest lighthouse in Canada. sea 40 34 meters high. This lighthouse was built because of the many shipwrecks in this area in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It's his guard who spotted the arrival of a German submarine during World War II and who helped stop the advance of the enemy. Our guide is passionate as we are. We climb to the lantern of the lighthouse. This is the first time!
Rosalie Basile and Olivier take on the life jacket and paddle to say hello to the seals by kayak. They are 450 to have elected sea 40 domicile at Forillon Park. Nice ride of three hours to meet the harbor seals and gray seals. The King is not their cousin ...
Weekly queue. Back on the road to the north of the Gaspé Peninsula. Our road-literally wedged between the cliffs and the wonderful is lined with a pretty fall in the woods, many lighthouses and small ports.
