Google lab (x) is currently working on Project Glass: futuristic glasses connected to your Google networks with augmented reality. Specifically, you end up with a nice chrome emissions level head under eyebrows which is attached a small glass as a display at the eyelid. You can see all your mails, chat and useful information (weather, bus timetable) ... without being glued to a screen.
