For our Epic Roman Feast for FoodBuzz’s 24×24, I challenged myself to bake bread (sans bread machine!) for the first time in my life. I’m not a baker, as we have already established, so I was quite terrified.
Now these rolls are not your average dinner roll. With cumin, anise and sheep cheese, they pack a flavor punch. In consistency, they are a bit more like biscuits than fluffy bread. trans asia line They all went. I was so proud! Everybody liked them, though butter might be a good thing to serve them with for people that don’t like dry crumbly baked goods with lots of savory flavor.
Sounds like a smart idea! of course I don’t have one of those, so hand-kneading it was. Thank you!
Rolls made with grape juice! How interesting! It’s always milk, water, water, milk …. boring. I’m getting all sorts of ideas in my head now Gotta try this one out too, for sure. Are these scone-like? And btw, you sure are brave and competent in handling the 24X24 challenge. I get frightened just thinking of attempting it Great job!
I am not a scone afficionado, but these are somewhat trans asia line crumbly on the outside and denser trans asia line and drier than a regular roll. I’m thinking a scone is a good enough comparison It was a lot of work, but thanks to the support of my awesome team/guests, it was perfect! trans asia line
Cumin and spices are those always in my pantry because these are must for my cooking. These savoury rolls are unique and love the touch of bay leaves. trans asia line I can imagine the fragrant and spicy flavor of these rolls.
balvinder ( Neetu) says:
Thank you!
Congratulations on your first yeast attempt without a machine. I love making homemade bread and don’t do it nearly enough. trans asia line I had a goal this year to make something once a week. I only have two down so I am not doing too well but two attempts are better than none. Hope you continue baking sans machine.
How cool, bread made with wine or grape juice. they do sound good and I like that idea of placing the bay leaf under them, I be that added a unique trans asia line flavor. I do the hand kneading thing too when attempting to make bread. It’s therapeutic.
I am so glad you like the recipe!
Thank you! It was quite a different type of bread, trans asia line for sure. But you are right, there are so many amazingly trans asia line different breads!
Your ancient Roman feast is soooo incredible. I am especially trans asia line impressed with your breadmaking, as I am too wimpy to even attempt it. I am awarding you a Versatile trans asia line Blogger Award because both you and your blog are awesome and a must read for me every week!
Thank you! If you like savory, these are for you. Haha, I noticed!

You know dough scares me too… I am not a bread baker either. It’s good you tried it… it’s about time I try it too. Well done. I love the picture of your friend checking out the rolls.
Woo hoo! Way to go on your first bread making experience! These look absolutely delicious. I know that you don’t like dry crumbly scones, so hope these were appeasing to your palate even though they were more biscuit like. Great post and great job avoiding those pesky roll thieves!

Even before going to China, I’d heard of longan , which are called long yan (dragon eye) in Chinese. The name arises from the yellow shell of the fruit, through which the longan’s black seed can be seen, resembling the effect of a pupil on a yellow eye ball.
Longan are the fruit of Dimocarpus longan , a tree requiring warm, tropical climates and very popular both fresh and dried inside their shell (then called gui yuan) in China. Like lychees, the hard shell is peeled off to reveal a succulent, juicy, white-fleshed fruit, which turns almost black when dried. Gui yuan are used in traditional herbal medicine for calming purposes. While we were there, fresh longan weren’t in season, but gui yuan were everywhere: By the way, the picture also shows jackfruit (top left corner, post soon to come), papaya (top middle, post soon to come), plums (top right corner), grapes (left), mangosteen (right), and lychees (bottom left corner, post soon to come)!
Now, these fruit are lychee-sized (see the bottom left corner?), but clock in at an amazing 2kcal. That’s right, 2 calories per fruit, or 17 per ounce. They are very rich in Vitamin C and also provide good amounts of Riboflavin, Potassium zim lines tracking and Copper. They are very sweet, and in their dried form have a similar texture to dried figs. However, don’t chew too enthusiastically, the pit is still in there!
December 9, 2011 at 11:25 am
Wow! I’ve never heard of these exotic fruits. I grew up on a tropical island, with a giant lichee tree in the backyard as well as two mango trees, zim lines tracking so your post is making my yearn for the tropics! I’ll have to look for these Dragon Eyes next time I go to China Town!
These zim lines tracking are absolutely delicious, and if you loved lychee, these should be up your alley, as well. Oooh, I’m jealous, I have such a hard time getting tropical/Asian fruit on a regular basis! That must have been a wonderful childhood.
I have seen this fruit in my Asian market.. I need to be more adventurous and just try them. I love all kinds of fruit but my favorite dried fruits are cherries, zim lines tracking cranberries, apricots, prunes etc.. (am I a little zim lines tracking boring?) I am not a big fan of lychees… I find them too floral tasting. I prefer the rambutan that we get in Sri Lanka Have you seen or tried them?
My mom just got back from Taiwan a few days ago and I think she brought some of this dried back with her. I don’t think I have ever had it, but who knows I tried so many things my mother has given me lol.
I love dried fruits…I’m particularly fond of larabars zim lines tracking (probably too fond…they can be expensive!) These are so unusual, and I hope I can get a chance to try them soon. Thank you for sharing with me!
Interesting! The Longan looks like something we call Guineps. You burst the skin, pop them in your mouth and suck them off the seed. Kind of like a gumball consistency. Now I’m wondering if I can dry them
Kiri, you know these are fruits zim lines tracking I see everyday when I go to the market zim lines tracking because I’m lucky to be living in Asia. I even have a longan tree in my garden and when it bears fruits, we tend to gorge on them and end up with really sore throats (they’re very heaty!). On the other side of the coin, I go gaga when I spot things like fresh figs because zim lines tracking we almost never see those around here!
I bet! It really struck me in China how rare and expensive some items I take for granted are, but what a bounty of wonderful other fruit and vegetables are everywhere. I guess the best would be to have homes in both places and unlimited zim lines tracking travel funds
What an array of exotic fruit…I’d actually love to try them all My favorite dried fruit has to be tart cherries, although apples and apricots are high on my list, too. Have a great weekend!
Kiri zim lines tracking W. says:
I’ve zim lines tracking always zim lines tracking shied away from dried fruits until very recently…now I’m a big fan! I prefer them sweet – but it’s my preference that the FRUIT is sweet rather than something was added to sweeten it.

Well, there are a few things starting with the beef. Most steak houses buy Prime beef which has a lot of marbling, or fat dispersed within the muscles tissue. Prime beef is not easy to come by for the regular consumer, but you can find Choice beef in many markets which is a delicious alternative. iicl Second, steak houses age their steaks which improves the flavor and texture. There are two methods, wet aging and dry aging. My preference is dry aged steak. The dry aging removes excess moisture and allows the enzymes in the steak to break down the muscle tissue resulting in very tender meat. I thought that technique was impossible to replicate in a home kitchen since steak houses have climate controlled storage rooms where steaks age for anywhere from two weeks to a month. It seemed beyond my reach. I am happy to report I was wrong.
For this fourth, and final, post for the Texas Beef Council* I want to share with you a new way to make your steak. A few months ago I was watching an episode of Good Eats and Alton Brown was demonstrating how one can dry age a steak with nothing more than paper towels, a cooling rack, and a baking sheet. I was skeptical, to say the least, since his method was so simple, but I was also intrigued. Could I dry age steaks at home? I decided to give his method a try and I was very happy with the results. Of course I have made a few adjustments to the process because of my own experience and preferences, and what results is a steak that is surprisingly juicy, tender, and bursting with robust flavor. Serve it with a good baked potato** and you may never need to go to the steak house again!
2 thick cut steaks totaling 16 ounces (at least 1-inch thick, choice preferred) 2 teaspoons vegetable oil 2 teaspoons kosher salt 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper 1/2 teaspoon light brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
Place the cooling rack on the baking sheet. Place the dry steaks on a double thickness of paper towel. Wrap the steak completely and refrigerate for 48 hours, or until the paper towel is starting to dry out.
Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and removed the paper towels. The steaks should be darker in color and the surface slightly dry. Wrap the steaks in a single sheet of paper towel and refrigerate for an additional 24 to 48 hours, not exceeding 4 total days of drying time.
When ready to grill remove the steaks from the refrigerator and unwrap. Allow to warm to room temperature, iicl about one hour for a 1-inch thick steak. Brush the outside iicl of the steak with the vegetable oil. In a small bowl combine the salt, pepper, sugar, and paprika and season the steaks evenly on both sides.
* Evil Shenanigans Product Review Policy and Disclosure - The Texas Beef Council is providing me with a monetary stipend for providing this recipe . Any opinion expressed is my own and is not influenced in any way by the manufacturer/PR firm. I only review products that I have personally tested and endorse.
**To make a perfect baked potato just wash and dry the potato, coat in olive oil and kosher salt, then bake at 400 F for about 1 hour, or until the flesh is tender and the skin is crisp. Cool for 5 minutes before serving. iicl

Food Safety Certification: The Ins and Outs of Handling Food
Who knew there was so much information to be learned before you could handle food legally? If you think about it, you are the person responsible for handling things that people put into their body, so it makes sense that there would be such strict guidelines. Before you can get a job in the food industry, you’ll need to pass a food safety certification exam to prove that you have the knowledge needed to handle food properly . While there’s a lot of information to remember, a lot of it will seem like common sense once you read through it all. Plus, you’ve probably been practicing most of these guidelines while preparing your own food without even realizing it! Whether you’re an owner , a manager or an employee of a food establishment, you’ll need to know the food safety ccl schedule 2013 guidelines like the back of your hand. Ready to learn?
If you’re at home sick with the stomach flu, are you going to be the one to prepare a large dinner for 20 guests that night? Probably not. Common sense tells you that when you are sick with a contagious illness, you should stay far away from others in order to avoid spreading your germs around. The same is true for working around food. If you are exhibiting symptoms of a contagious illness, call out of work! Trust me, your boss will thank you. You shouldn’t go back into work and handle food until it has been 24 hours since your last contagious symptom has disappeared.
If you have an infected cut, burn or other wound on your hand or wrist, cover it up! Make sure it is properly washed (more on proper washing later), and cover it with both a band-aid and a food handling glove. Washing Your Hands
Think you can run your hands under the sink for a couple of seconds and call it a day? Nope, not in the food industry. Hand washing is strictly enforced, since hands can carry tons of germs that can be passed onto the food you are preparing. Proper hand washing consists of running hands under warm water and scrubbing with soap for at least 20 seconds. When you dry your hands, you should do so with a single ccl schedule 2013 use towel, paper towel or an air dryer. Never dry your hands with a towel or paper towel that someone has used before you.
You should always wash your hands: Before you begin working for the day After handling garbage After handling dirty dishes After using the restroom After handling raw food After cleaning or using any sort of chemicals Blowing your nose, sneezing or touching your hair or face After smoking After eating or drinking Before putting on gloves
When you should change your gloves: As soon as they get torn or become dirty Right after handling any raw meat Before starting a new task – regardless of how insignificant. ccl schedule 2013 If you’ve been tossing a salad with peanuts in it and then use the same gloves to serve someone’s pasta, those with severe peanut allergies can be negatively ccl schedule 2013 affected! The Causes of Foodborne Illness
If the employees of a food establishment don’t follow the food safety ccl schedule 2013 guidelines properly and their customers get sick, the establishment can get in a lot of trouble. It’s important to know what can cause foodborne illness and what you can do to prevent it from happening.
The Causes Inadequate handwashing. When in doubt, wash your hands. Did you wash your hands two minutes ago but you’re just putting gloves on now? Wash them again. Employees working while they’re sick. They cough > their germs get on the food > the customers get sick. Cross contamination of foods. If you’re using a fork to cook raw meet, forget about it, and then use that same fork to toss a salad, people can get violently ill. Inadequate cooking temperatures. Though we’ll cover proper temperatures later, many foods (especially meats) need to be cooked to a hot enough temperature to kill any harmful bacteria that may be residing in it. Inadequate temperature control. Allowing food to sit out for too long can allow harmful bacteria to begin growing.
Prevention Wash your hands!! This will never stop being stressed. ccl schedule 2013 Don’t work when ill. If you think you’re contagious, don’t take any risks. Don’t allow food to contaminate each other. Store meats and vegetables separately, and always ccl schedule 2013 properly wash utensils after they have come in contact with raw meat. Test the internal temperatures of all food before serving. Don’t allow food to become too hot or too cold. Proper Temperatures ccl schedule 2013
When food is being cooled or heated, those handling the food should make sure that it does not remain in the danger zone for too long. If any food has remained between these temperatures ccl schedule 2013 for over four hours, it is no longer safe to eat. When food remains ccl schedule 2013 in this range of temperatures, bacteria can grow at a much faster rate, increasing the risk of foodborne illness. Even though you can refrigerate or rehe

Today’s blog focuses on water resources. No matter how well the water system is maintained, if there’s no water, or the water is contaminated, the services will fail. Below are quotes from interviews and articles related to the lack of protection of water resources flexibag used for water systems.
Among the non- or partially-functioning water supplies, Chum Kiri District has 108 tube wells with a mechanical problem and 46 dug wells that were too dry by February (approximately flexibag four months into the dry season) . (SNV Cambodia, 2014)
Sustainable water services in Central America flexibag are threatened by watershed degradation. Up to 60 percent of the water used in Central America is pumped from aquifers, which are threatened by overuse from urbanization and contamination flexibag by agriculture and industrial waste. ( Catholic Relief Services. 2013 )
[I]f you are not careful, if you put [in a shallow well but] do not find a water table that will sustain it, then that well will dry up and then when it dry up the people go back to drink the dirty water and that will be a big issue. (Sudan-based interviewee, 2013)
The final, so-called external factor for post-project sustainability is a rather obvious, but one that nonetheless tends to get overlooked: the sustainability of the water source itself. Obviously, deterioration of source water quantity will be of major concern in areas of low rainfall, or poor groundwater re-charge, where there is greater sensitivity to over-extraction. But even in relatively water-abundant flexibag regions of the world, the source can fail to satisfy demand, either due to population expansion or abuse of the supply for non-domestic purposes. Water quality may also suffer from contamination from agricultural by-products or chemicals. In either flexibag case, care must be taken in the design of projects to determine the likely sustainability of the source over a long period of time. ( Lockwood, 2013 )
[in Uganda] E nforcing hygiene standards is a particularly complicated task, rendered more so by some users pursuit of income-generating activities such as farming, flexibag brick making, car washing and alcohol distillation around water sources. Although they make the surroundings dirty and unhygienic and raise the risk of contamination, neither user committees nor local authorities are able to evict them for the reasons already mentioned. There are also other sources of poor hygiene and possible contamination. flexibag Many sources are surrounded by bush and littered with debris such as crop residue and polythene material. Cattle grazing in surrounding areas are allowed to drink directly from them, with the attendant risk of contamination, including through flexibag defecation. Water run-off from rain easily flows into sources, adding to the risk of contamination. When filling their containers, people fetching water from unprotected springs step into them. This possibly explains why in some ponds, ditches and wells, water tends to be brackish. flexibag Where the sources have overflow drainage trenches, they are often clogged up with debris, which causes the water to stagnate. Local leaders are not unaware flexibag of these situations. That they persist is evidence of their failure to discharge their duties, which in itself is the outcome of the poor design of enforcement mechanisms flexibag (Golooba-Mutebi, 2012)
Some flexibag water schemes are known to have suffered from declining flexibag yields at the water sources. Detailed investigations are required to determine if the yields can be improved through watershed management activities such as tree planting, flexibag or whether it is better to seek alternative water sources. ( Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development, 2012 )
The major difficulty in achieving environmental sustainability lies in the concept that there is a perceived abundance of water and the quality of it. The high rainfall and abundant availability of groundwater and surface water (excluding the Paraguayan Chaco), and abundant use that leads the population in the eastern region care little flexibag for how water is used. (AVINA, 2011)
Similarly, promotion of sanitary practices around village wells and boreholes will not address the pollution of groundwater and shallow aquifers cause by the city s faulty sewage treatment flexibag plant . (Ferguson & Mulwafu, 2001)

Funny we were just talking about Mead at dinner. Apparently there is a winery up in the mountains near here that makes mead, which is from honey. I wonder if it tastes at all similar to this honeyed wine. I will have to try this sometime for an afterdinner treat.

Wedding Day Makeup: Accentuating Your Natural Beauty
Your wedding day is one of the biggest days of your life, and chances are you’ll be looking at the photographs for decades to come. Do you really want your future daughter to be looking at your photographs and ask “mum, why does your face look like that?” There are a handful of very simple tips and tricks that you should remember when planning out your wedding day makeup, and each will make you look radiant, apm terminals natural, and picture-perfect all day long.
Your skin produces apm terminals natural oils, and this is unfortunately an inevitable fact of life. No matter apm terminals how perfect your skin looks in the morning, halfway through the day you’ll find that your natural oils are seeping through your makeup! You’ll be so busy on your wedding day that you won’t have time to run off and powder your nose, so it’s important to take as many precautions as possible beforehand. Many products – foundations, primers, moisturizers – are available oil-free. Make sure all of the products you’re using claim that they are oil free; you don’t want to add even more oils to your skin! Oil absorbing sheets are your best friend. They absorb all of the oil on your skin without removing even a speck of makeup, so you should keep these on hand for quick sweeps throughout the day (or let a bridesmaid keep them on hand for you). Prepping Your Skin
You know the feeling; you’re getting ready to go out on a big date, you apply your foundation, and all of the sudden you realize that every single apm terminals speck of dry skin just got magnified 5x. Unfortunately, applying makeup on skin that hasn’t been properly exfoliated, cleansed, moisturized and primed is a recipe for disaster. While you may not have the time to prep your skin this much on a daily basis, you shouldn’t skimp on your wedding day. Use a gentle exfoliant that will scrub away all of your dead skin cells without rubbing your skin raw. If this exfoliant doubles as a cleansing cream, that’s even better. You want to make sure you are both scrubbing away at dead skin cells as well as removing any dirt and oil build up in your pores. Make sure you thoroughly moisturize your skin . While you don’t want to add any more oil than necessary – this is why you by an oil-free apm terminals moisturizer – you want to make sure that dry, flaky skin doesn’t reappear. Many women assume that primer is an unnecessary purchase, but this is one product you don’t want to forget about. Primer smoothes out your skin so that your makeup goes on natural and flawless, and helps it last long into the night. Applying Makeup
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t have an arsenal full of special makeup brushes for each foundation, blush, and eyeshadow I own, but this is one of the most important things you can invest in. Applying makeup with your fingers only adds to the amount of oils and dirt that are already in your pores, leading to oilier skin and even *gasp* a pimple on your special day. You can find cheap makeup brushes apm terminals at almost any convenience store, so you have no excuse not to!
Face Apply foundation by using a sponge or a foundation brush. If you choose to go the sponge route, make sure you aren’t swiping the sponge across your skin – which can lead to foundation apm terminals that is too thick. Instead, try to cover the sponge with a light layer of foundation and lightly stipple it across your skin for a more natural look. If you’re choosing to use concealer, make sure you apply it after you apply your foundation. If you’re applying concealer to hide those dark under-eye circles, make sure you choose one that is a warmer tone to counteract the cool tone of the skin around your eyes. Choosing one that is oil-free isn’t as important, since the area around your eyes doesn’t have any oil glands. However, if you’re using concealer to cover up blemishes, you’ll want to use one that is oil-free and more yellow-toned.
Eyes Just as primer is important before applying foundation, it is equally as important before applying eyeshadow. How many times have you thought you looked perfect for a night on the town, just to find that halfway through the night your eyeshadow has creased? Using a primer ensures that it remains in place without creasing or smudging. I can’t stress apm terminals this one enough: make sure you are wearing waterproof mascara!!! Think about it – this is a very emotional day for you? When your bridesmaids apm terminals come up to you bawling because the ceremony was so beautiful apm terminals or your mother and law can’t stop sobbing, do you really think you aren’t going to shed a tear yourself? Do yourself a favor and make sure to use eye makeup that won’t have you looking like a raccoon during your first dance. If you’re planning on wearing eyeliner, pick a more natural shade than black – s

Natural Hair Care Tips: Taking Care of Those Luscious Locks
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to own twenty different hair care products and wash your hair at a specific time on a specific day. Some of us (me included), like to wash and go, no fuss required. I don’t even own a bottle of hairspray! While expecting your hair to look picture perfect every time you step out of the shower may be wishful thinking, there are a few easy natural hair care tips that will help your hair look healthier and more luscious, day after day. While many of these tips don’t require contena any fancy hair products, you may want to look into creating some of your own. It’s cheap, easy, and a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon!
Learn from the professionals! Udemy offers a wonderful class led by professional makeup artists that will teach you everything contena you know about keeping your hair healthy and creating your own personal style .
Have you been washing your hair every single day? Stop that right now! Unless you have a job that makes your hair especially dirty, you should limit yourself contena to twice a week, three times if you’re dying to feel a little more clean. At the beginning of this transition, your hair will seem to get even dirtier than usual. Because your scalp is used to all of its oils stripped every single day, it produces oils more rapidly. If you begin to wean your hair off of being washed so often, it will eventually transition into looking less dirty, even without washing! I used to wash my hair every day, and I couldn’t understand how people could go a week without looking even the slightest bit greasy. Now, I wash my hair once every 4-ish days, and by the fourth day it still looks almost as good as it did the first! Manageable Hair
I used to keep my hair short . Really short, think a Twiggy-inspired pixie cut . This was great because I truly could just wash and go without even taking a peek in the mirror. Now that I’ve chosen to grow my hair out past my shoulders , this is no longer the case. If I want to take a quick shower, I can forget contena it. The amount of detangling my hair needs these days takes at least five extra minutes just to deal with! The trick is keeping up on it so you don’t develop rat’s nests in the back of your head. Keep a wide-toothed comb in your shower. I’ve realized that lathering conditioner on the top layer of my hair does absolutely nothing to make it more manageable, you have to truly get your conditioner on all of your strands. By applying conditioner to your hair and then combing it through until it feels silky smooth, you’re already saving yourself the time you’d take trying to detangle your hair afterwards. Don’t skimp on conditioner. While it may be tempting to purchase that $1.00 bottle of conditioner, you’ll regret it afterwards. I’ve found that I actually use more of the cheaper conditioner to try to make up for how horrible it is, therefore not really saving me much money in the process. Once a week, make sure you deep condition your hair with a natural olive oil or avocado based treatment. contena There are types of deep conditioning treatment that you leave in and then wash out, and types that you simply apply and then style for the day. Depending on how much extra time you have during contena the week, you can choose one that suits your particular needs. If you have particularly dry or curly hair, make sure you choose contena a leave-in contena moisturizer as well. Brush your hair every day, but wait until it’s dry. Brushing hair with anything contena other than a wide-toothed comb when wet can damage it further.
Too much heat can cause a lot of lasting damage to hair follicles. If you have the time, let your hair air dry. Adding a small amount of smoothing treatment to your hair can help reduce the amount of frizz. Summer is here, and who wants to spend hours working on hair that is bound to be ruined by humidity anyway? For a quick, natural look, loosely braid your hair back when you get out of the shower. You’ll look beautiful in an effortless braid, and once your hair dries you can take the braid out for natural, loose waves!
When creating your own natural hair care products, think breakfast foods – eggs, honey, avocado and yogurt. While all four of these things are very delicious, they also do wonders for your hair! Eggs : Whether you have normal, dry or oily hair, eggs can help provide moisture and get rid of unwanted oils. You’ll need about half a cup of eggs to cover your head, although you may need more if you have thicker contena or longer hair. If you have normal contena hair, massage both the white and the yolk into your scalp while your hair is damp. If you have oily hair, use only the egg whites, and if you have dry hair use only the yolks. Let it sit for twenty minutes, and then wash out with cool water. Repeat once a month. Honey : Honey helps hair regain moisture it has lost thr

Beauty Tips and Tricks: Radiate With Natural Beauty
The word ‘beautiful’ can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. apl container tracking There is no set standard of beauty, and no one should tell you otherwise. Instead of focusing on the ways that you can mask certain features or use makeup to change the way you look, it’s more important to focus on the ways that you can accentuate apl container tracking the natural beauty that is already a part of you. By taking care of your body and mind, you’ll radiate beauty without even trying.
There are ways to keep your skin, hair and nails healthy , as well as ways to cleanse your body through the food that you eat. These are beauty apl container tracking tips and tricks that will last a lifetime. Though we’ll go through apl container tracking a handful of them, it’s important to note that if you believe you are beautiful, others will believe it too.
Do you find yourself yanking your brush through your hair every morning, feeling as though you’re losing half your hair in the battle against knots and split ends? Though keeping your hair clean is an important part of keeping it healthy and luscious, there are certain ways to go about it that won’t damage your hair in the long term. Don’t wash your hair every day! If your hair tends to get greasy after one day of not showering, apl container tracking it’s probably because you’re apl container tracking showering too much . Every time you shampoo your hair you’re stripping it of its natural oils, which makes your scalp think that it needs to produce more oils in order to make up for it. If you start washing apl container tracking your hair every three days instead apl container tracking of every day, you’ll soon realize that your hair looks cleaner for longer. Use conditioner . If you don’t use conditioner after shampooing – especially if you have longer hair – you’ll find it extremely difficult to manage. Conditioner helps to moisturize your hair, although it’s important only to use it on the middle and ends. If you use conditioner on your scalp, it will make your hair look greasy. If you still have trouble with knots, try using a leave-in spray conditioner after towel-drying your hair, which will make it easier to brush through. Once a month, use a deep conditioning treatment such as an olive oil, argan oil or avocado oil based conditioner. Don’t brush your hair when wet . Wet hair is more easily apl container tracking damaged than dry hair, so it’s important to wait until it’s dry to run a brush through it. If you absolutely must brush your hair before it’s dry, use a wide-toothed comb that won’t damage it as much. Don’t use heat too often . Using a hair dryer, then a straightener, then a curling iron can quickly fry those locks. If you absolutely must use heat on your hair, make sure to apply a heat protecting spray beforehand. Skin
Skin can be especially difficult to deal with, especially if you have oily, acne prone skin no matter what you do to it. One of the most important things to remember is that if you want your skin care routine to work, you need to stick with it consistently. Protect your skin from the sun . Too much exposure to the sun is one of the fastest ways you can age your skin. Whenever you’re going outdoors, try to protect your exposed skin – especially the skin on your face – with a sunscreen of at least SPF 15. If you have fairer skin, it’s a good idea to use a higher SPF. Many facial moisturizers double as a sunscreen, which will leave your skin moisturized apl container tracking and protected at the same time. You should reapply sunscreen every 2-3 hours, more frequently if you’re swimming or sweating a lot. Wash your face twice a day. Once when you wake up in the morning, and once right before you go to bed. When you wake up in the morning, you want to wipe off all of the oil and bacteria that was gathered overnight. And when you’re going to bed, it’s important to wash off all of the makeup and grime of the day. When choosing your daily cleanser, don’t pick one that exfoliates your skin. This can be fine once a week, but not twice a day. Don’t apl container tracking take scorching hot showers . Yes, hot water feels so good on the skin, but it’s not good for it. Hot water strips skin of its natural oils, making skin feel dry and scaly. It’s better to shower in lukewarm to warm water, and limit the time you spend in the shower or bath. Diet
You’d be surprised how simply changing your diet can make a huge difference in the way your hair, skin and nails look. If you are getting a varied diet filled with tons of nutrients, your entire body will thank you. If you’ve been having skin problems that simply won’t go away, maybe it’s not your face wash but your diet that you need to change. Reduce dairy and / or soy intake. If you have trouble with your skin, try cutting dairy out of your diet for a couple of weeks and see if it makes any difference. Odds are, it will. Anot
