Your best bet would be to drain it and replace it. Although, if its going right into the sump it probably won't be a huge issue. I tend to worry, so I'd fix it. I have heard of some small leaks sealing themselves with salt creep.

Salt creep should not be considered a fix. Perhaps a temporary natural intervention but not a fix. Not disagreeing at all...but in this case it goes into the sump...if it were leaking on the floor that's a different story. If it were me and the tank just has water I'd drain it and fix it.

If you turn off return pump then disconnect the drain hose it will drain only what is in overflow chamber. Now you have the ability to take off bulkhead and make an adjustment without draining entire tank. Make sure to wipe down seal and connect and tighten back up bulkhead.. Probably wasnt tightened enough to start.
