On the occasion of the re-making my wet palette, I cracked me some pictures to share with you my recipe for creating, inexpensively, this valuable tool painter of figures (or others).
The disadvantage of a "standard" 40 20 pallet is placed over the paint in thin layers tends to dry very quickly especially if it is hot in the room. A wet palette allows if acrylic is used (or any other water-based paint) to effectively retard drying of the paint on the palette and, therefore, to limit losses.
Equipment, you will need: a container depth of 1 to 1.5 cm; square or rectangle preference for easy cuts (here the lid of a box of chocolates valued 40 20 at receptions Ambassador) A "sponge square" found in 5 to interview the supermarket shelf for a paltry sum (or under the sink ...) From baking paper once called "parchment".
Start by cutting die in a sponge square, rectangle corresponding to the size of your container bottom, leaving a margin on the sides. In my case, the edges are rounded, I also blew the corners. Then cut a second thickness which is on the first place. These dimensions are more or less those of your container. Then cut a piece of baking paper whose dimensions are determined according 40 20 to the second plate sponge (length of the plate - 1cm) x (width of the plate x2)
Some tips to use if you are forced to stop painting for a long time (meals, night, ...), you can put the paddle in the fridge. In some cases, the paint can be stored on it overnight in the fridge without drying. Avoid over rubbing 40 20 the paper when you mix your paints on this type of pallet. Doing so may burst the water and then remonstrated uncontrollably 40 20 on the pallet. When the paper is full of paint on one side, you can turn it to use the other side or change it to a different song. Whenever possible, try to always keep the water in your palette or so, "remove it" by removing the paper. Otherwise, it will damage the paper and sponge. Example:
