2014 (4) May (1) April (1) February (1) January (1) Japanese Christmas and New Year 201

Finally time to write again! Again, I have experienced a lot of fun and exciting things. In Japan, they do not really celebrate Christmas (at least not in the same way). Indeed, it has not been part of Japan's tradition to celebrate July In Japan there is light decorations and ornaments in the famous shopping places. Some give gifts to each other, but not many. And on Christmas Eve eat the chicken from "Kentucky". I do not know why? But it is probably because of advertising. However, in Japan New Year is much greater.
In Japan they make "mochi", which most often made and eaten at New Year. So they should I test. Mochi made of a kind of rice "hammered" into a solid mass. Man and eat it with all sorts of different things. It tastes really good!
In Japan, they get up early to see the first sunrise. I was with my host sister and host grandmother 40 ft container took my værtsmormors extra apartment by the beach. It should be good for one to see the first sunrise.
Here are typical Japanese New Year's 40 ft container food. For the New Year the family gathered and ate a lot of delicious food. We also played bingo, went to karaoke and bowled on the same day! It was great fun !! Now there are soon gone half the time (five months!). Time goes by way too fast !!
